S&D (Slip and Drive) is typically used for smaller duct sizes or lower pressure classes. TDC/TDF (Transverse Duct Connection) uses a 4-bolt flange system with a gasket, providing a much stronger and more airtight connection for larger trunk lines and high-pressure systems.
Do you fabricate double-wall rectangular duct?▼
Yes. We can fabricate double-wall systems with a perforated or solid inner liner and a layer of insulation in between for superior acoustic or thermal performance in sensitive environments.
What gauges do you recommend for commercial projects?▼
Gauge selection is determined by the duct width and the design static pressure. We follow SMACNA tables strictly, typically ranging from 26 GA for small branches to 18 GA for large main systems.
